Jefferson County sheriff Shots fired: A Smithfield Township resident reported a shots fired incident, Tuesday. According to the report, the caller said his friend and girlfriend’s son were turning around, and a neighbor fired three shots “near the truck” leading to a “small” argument. One of the individuals in the vehicle said they were going to the store and the road they were traveling on is one-lane with a turnaround at the end before the neighbor’s property.
