Streets littered with abandoned cars, roofs turned off. roads blocked by flooding and debris after a stormy night of tearing winds, rushing water and last-minute escapes. the category four hurricane ripped through. all of a sudden, our house flooded. it s not a going deeper and deeper. by the time we were walking out, we were mid-thigh in water. the naples fire department carrying out water rescues, even though some of their own stations were flooded. first responders even spotted on jet skis. bill hogan says the water reached two or three feet in this house. he thinks the boat on this lawn came from two blocks away. we will give you some sense of how much water was here. there was at least three feet of water from the whole street. fort myers among the hardest hit from the waterfront to downtown to inland neighborhoods. the house is built in 1987, so many memories gone. fort myers beach now a debris field. in port charlotte, flooding at a hospital icu. ....
