South Jacksonville candidate Richard “Dick” Samples has filed a petition objection against opponent Tyson Manker.Journal-Courier
A contested village presidential race for South Jacksonville will be examined Thursday after candidate Richard “Dick” Samples filed a petition objection against opponent Tyson Manker.
Samples, a village trustee, filed an objection to Manker’s candidacy on Dec. 30, claiming Manker failed to properly file his candidacy forms.
The village’s Electoral Board will have a meeting at 6 p.m. today to establish a hearing date, convene the panel and set rules and procedures for the hearing. ....
