UPDATE 1/11/2021: The Evansville Police Department released photos today of two vehicles believed to have been involved in the theft that took place October 18, 2020 from a storage unit on Indiana Street in Evansville, Indiana. The theft occurred around 9am that morning when two vehicles entered and left the storage facility at the same time. Potter County and the city of Amarillo have filed a joint grant application with the state's Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority to secure funding to continue the Panhandle Auto Burglary and Theft Unit.  Officials previously noted the Panhandle Auto Burglary and Theft Unit consists of investigators from the Potter County and Randall County sheriff’s offices, the Amarillo Police Department and the Department of Public Safety.
