They said they, of course, had no involvement. and there would be no incentive that i can think of for them to shoot down an airliner. as a matter of fact, rosemary, i can't think of any incentive for anybody to bring this airliner down. you know, it's a non-aligned country. i have to believe this is some kind of horrific accident. we've seen this before, when the u.s. navy shot down the iranian airbus back in 1988. we also saw it, of course, when the russian air force shot down a korean 747 over the north pacific in 1983. so these accidents do occur. automation is tricky. and my specialty is ...
