PHNOM PENH (The Phnom Penh Post/Asia News Network): Prime Minister Hun Sen thanked US President Joe Biden for his country’s efforts to return looted Khmer antiquities to Cambodia. More than 30 artifacts are lined up for repatriation to the Kingdom by the end of the year.

United States returns 192 stolen artefacts worth $3.4 million to Pakistan, seven found guilty

The United States has returned 192 artefacts worth $3.4 million to Pakistan. One of the prominent stolen artefacts of Buddha or a Gandharan statue of a Maitreya that was stolen from Pakistan during the 1990s and trafficked into New York County is among the items being returned. The Manhattan District Attorney's (MDA) office in New York confirmed the news. Alvin L Bragg, Jr, Manhattan district attorney revealed that the artefacts were returned.
