We had a series of laws coming through, targeting africanamericans, so i wanted to lay out how Voter Suppression s. Rks because host what protections were under the Voting Rights act. Passedin 1965, congress the Voting Rights act. It began to deal with the massive disenfranchisement happening particularly in the south. Where you had counties that had a majority black population, but zero africanamericans were registered to vote.
