Feds explain downward revision of Ventura County economy from 2007-18
Federal officials said Thursday that Economic Census data they received was in large part the reason why they sharply revised downward their assessment of Ventura County's economy from 2007 to 2018. The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis initially found the county's economy had grown by $2.1 billion during the 11-year period. But in December, the bureau dramatically revised its assessment, concluding the county's economy actually shrank by $8.6 billion during the span, a $10.7 billion swing.
