BERLIN: Volkswagen is cutting almost 300 temporary jobs at its flagship electric car plant in Zwickau, the German auto giant said on Thursday, as it struggles to gain a foothold in the EV market.
The union supports company plans to destroy 3,500 jobs so it can make an 8 percent profit, which is the strategic aim of the shareholders.
