Singer Katy Perry dropped her new single, “Electric,” on Thursday night, and the video for that new song includes a very special guest star: Pikachu! It’s cheery, adorable, and includes lyrical references to the Pokémon anime’s classic theme song. But the video also features plenty of shockingly reckless timeline-manipulating machinations by Perry and Pikachu. In “Electric,” Pikachu and Katy Perry visit the Time Lighthouse, where the two travel backward in time to alter the singer’s past.
