Officials in the southeast Alaska island city of Wrangell have officially suspended their efforts to find a 12-year-old boy missing in the debris following a 500-foot-wide landslide that killed an entire family.

After 15 days, authorities have called off the search for 12-year-old Derek Heller, who remains missing after a deadly landslide in Wrangell on Nov. 20.
Derek Heller was never found after the Nov. 20 slide that killed four other members of his family and 65-year-old Otto Florschutz.
