Out of this pause for an fbi investigation is what i was speaking about on the floor earlier today, which is the message to the thousands of survivors of sexual assault who have come forward to my office, to many other offices, to tip lines across the country or to speak to family or friends for the first time that we will enter a new phase in our country in terms of our willingness in to hear and to respond to allegations. i know there has been a lot of fighting this week about whether the process was fair to judge kavanaugh, whether the investigation was serious and thorough, and whether dr. ford and debbie ramirez had their allegations thoroughly enough investigated, and i look forward to getting into that. but as larger point, i just wanted to say up front, rachel that i ve been stunned by how many people, people i ve known for decades or just years or who i ve just met have shared with me really powerful stories of their own experience, not seeking something, just wanting to be he ....
from my experience is the fbi is looking into something and the public knows the fbi is looking into it, first of all they put up tip lines. second of all if someone shows up at the office or calls they may listen to them. they may find it s not credible and never do any follow-up, but from my experience they will hear them out and see if there s anything to follow-up. the reason so many of these people are coming forward and writing articles and speaking to the press, the op-ed today with his roommates, kavanaugh s roommates or drinking buddies saying, you know, he can t say he didn t drink to the point of not remembering because we saw him. why are they doing that in an op-ed or in an opinion piece because the fbi didn t hear them out. and that is just strange to me. that relates to ramirez claim. but that is pure but that is something that should have been followed up on if you re going to do a thorough investigation. and why didn t they tuque the therapist on ford s claim. i wo ....

And cnn s evan perez. you have new reporting on what went into this investigation. the senators are now in this secure room, reading the documents. there are over 1,000 pages included in the documents. the fbi ended up including information that was unilater unilaterally brought in through tip lines and people calling and people who are sending stuff online. the question is, what is in that information. was the fbi able to corroborate any of it? if it was the tip line, it was information they did not get to. they did not do interviews with the people. it will be interesting to see what they take away. going back to your point, the white house insisting they did not interfere with the investigation. i guess that s true, the white house governed what the fbi was going to do. that s the fbi s client? ....
