The Challenged Athletes Foundation has given out 80 GRIT wheelchairs and last weekend three more children in Idaho received a new chair.

BOISE, Idaho — GRIT makes all-terrain wheelchairs to help adaptive athletes enjoy the outdoors, back in January this company led by a husband and wife team who earned their degrees in mechanical engineering at MIT designed the first-ever freedom chair for a child.
The Challenged Athletes Foundation partnered with GRIT to make all this possible and an Idaho boy named Teddy got the first chair ever made back in January. ....

As winner of the Lyfebulb and Bristol Myers Squibb Innovation Challenge in multiple sclerosis (MS), Evolution Devices will use the $25,000 in prize money to further develop a smart stimulation therapy that seeks to improve patient mobility.
The innovative electrical device under development by Pierluigi Mantovani, co-founder and DEO of Evolution Devices, combines artificial intelligence with proprietary software to ease a common condition in MS known as “foot drop,” which is caused by ankle weakness largely due to a slowing or block in communication between nerves in the brain and the foot.
Addressing Unmet Needs in MS: An Innovation Challenge was held virtually March 10–11 and was open to entrepreneurs who were inspired by a personal connection to MS to develop solutions. ....

Evolution Devices Wins the 2021 MS Innovation Challenge
Bristol Myers Squibb and Lyfebulb announce that Pierluigi Mantovani of Evolution Devices was chosen as the winner of the
Addressing Unmet Needs in MS: An Innovation Challenge. 
Evolution Devices will receive $25,000 from Lyfebulb to further develop its electrical stimulation device designed to couple artificial intelligence and proprietary software to rehabilitate foot drop in multiple sclerosis patients.
Pierluigi was motivated to start his company out of his personal observations of seeing his own father struggle with foot drop living with MS.
Additionally, FFORA and GRIT each received honorable mentions for their impactful innovations that have the potential to greatly increase the quality of life for individuals living with MS. Bristol Myers Squibb and Lyfebulb announce 10 finalists chosen for the Lyfebulb-Bristol Myers Squibb “Addressing Unmet Needs in MS: An Innovation Challenge.”
During March 10-11, the following finalists will compete virtually for a grant of $25,000 to further develop their ideas and concepts that will address the unmet needs of people who are experiencing multiple sclerosis (MS). This award will also assist in raising an overall awareness about this chronic disease.
