Largest NHS union advises members in Scotland to accept 4% pay deal
Unison, the largest union in the NHS, will be asking its members to accept the deal. Willie Duffy Willie Duffy, Unison Scotland head of health, said: “If we reject the offer, it will be up to the next government and, amongst other things, they will not have the pressure of an upcoming election to concentrate their minds. “We think this is the best offer that can be achieved through negotiation.” Meanwhile, Tom Waterson, chair of Unison Scotland health committee, said members needed to be ready to take “sustained and substantial industrial action” if they decided to reject the offer....
