With house prices on the rise, Queensland is in the midst of the kind of real estate boom that hasn’t been seen in years.
CoreLogic Head of Research, Eliza Owen, said the nearly unprecedented surge in values had been driven by multiple factors.
“Demand has been particularly strong across the house segment, where quarterly growth in Brisbane house values (6.2 per cent) was more than double that of unit value increases (3 per cent),’’ Ms Owen said.

A leading Queensland National Party identity and pastoralist Sir William Allen whose funeral was attended by hundreds of mourners in Brisbane yesterday combined a commanding statesmanship with a quiet dignity, according to those who knew him best.
William Allen, often just "Bill'' to his friends, was a giant of the old National Party, a prominent figure in grazing, active in regional tourism and the owner of radio stations including 4IP which was at one time the most popular station in Brisbane.
Sir William died last Thursday week at the age of 88, his death drawing hundreds of mourners from the state's media, pastoral and political worlds into St Stephen's Cathedral in Elizabeth Street yesterday to join Sir William's family in an affectionate farewell.
