Bobcat rescued from atop electric pole along Dona Ana County road Bobcat rescued from atop electric pole along Dona Ana County road DONA ANA COUNTY, New Mexico -- A bobcat in Dona Ana County ended up in a place where you'd least expect to find a bob cat - stuck at the top of an electrical pole. Someone who noticed the bobcat on top of that high pole on Topaz Road northeast of Las Cruces called authorities. Doña Ana County officials collaborated with the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish agents along with El Paso Electric Company crews to rescue the animal.
