Irish 49er Olympic Sailor Ryan Seaton Retires 28th May 2021 Northern Ireland Olympic helm Ryan Seaton has retired from competition Two-time Olympic sailor Ryan Seaton from Northern Ireland has announced his retirement after almost 30 years of competition. Seaton, who is originally from Carrickfergus, represented Ireland at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London in the 49er alongside Matt McGovern, finishing 14th.
