Outdoor dining making a return in Wolfeboro April 14, 2021WOLFEBORO Town Manager Jim Pineo, offering an update from the town s Covid Task Force to the Board of Selectmen on April 7, said it authorized outdoor dining for several businesses that asked to use town property again for dining or parking - Burnt Timber, Bailey s Bubble, El Centenario and the Lone Wolfe Tavern. It also reinstituted a number of five-minute takeout parking spots in the downtown area. Chairman Linda Murray suggested it was time to once again set up picnic tables in Cate Park. Many people frequented the park last summer and were able to take advantage of the outdoor seating, she noted. ....
Town Hall returns to appointment only as COVID numbers rise December 12, 2020WOLFEBORO Signs declaring, COVID IS HERE now greet incoming travellers to Wolfeboro, and business at the Wolfeboro Town Hall is back to by appointment only after what Town Manager Jim Pineo called, a near miss with exposure in November. He stated at the Dec. 2 selectmen s meeting, There is too much work in the pipeline to take chances on exposure with Covid numbers going up. Most meetings with town boards are conducted virtually. The few that are hybrid, which offer members an in person option in the Great Hall with masks and social distancing protocols and a virtual option via WCTV Live Stream and/or You Tube, will continue. ....
