Drexel Advances to First CAA Women's Championship Game

Drexel came from behind to beat Towson 15-14 in overtime and is headed to the CAA final for the first time in program history.
Drexel’s magical season continues on following a 15-14 comeback victory in overtime against Towson in the Colonial Athletic Association women’s lacrosse semifinals on Friday evening in Harrisonburg, Va. Senior attacker Courtney Dietzel scored off a free-position attempt in the opening possession of overtime to give the Dragons (13-1) the victory.
Drexel, which beat Towson by double digits twice in the last month, trailed by three goals with under 10 minutes to play. But then Drexel ripped off three goals in a span of just 60 seconds Colleen Grady (7:46), Jamie Schneidereith (7:06) and Karson Harris (6:46) to tie the game 14-14. ....
