In Clearfield County, there’s a new way to encourage safe driving while having fun “treasure hunting.”
The Clearfield County traffic safety geo-trail is now open to the public.
It’s the first in the state and features 20 geocaches about traffic safety education.
The trail is designed to target teen drivers and their families, but anyone can try it.
“PennDOT is just one of the many stakeholders in Pennsylvania that supports the national movement entitled ‘Towards Zero Deaths,’” said PennDOT District Traffic Engineer Erik Brown. “The main goal of the ‘Towards Zero Deaths’ program is to eliminate all traffic fatalities within the next thirty years.” ....
