The death of a Bismarck man in early January brought murder and conspiracy charges against two people -- one of them the deceased man’s wife -- in a case that investigators say was part of the pair’s plan to cash in on an insurance policy. It’s one of three homicides investigated by Bismarck-Mandan law enforcement in 2020. WARREN — John F. Fox, 84, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital. He was born Nov. 11, 1936, in Marysville, the son of the late George Andrew and Kathryn Gamble Fox. John was retired from Trumco Insurance Agency Inc., a company he founded in 1979. As a youth, he was an Eagle Scout and lodge chief of the Central Ohio Order of the Arrow. At Marysville High School, he played three sports and was elected three years as class president.
