Widnes church given funding boost to create new community space
A CHURCH in Widnes has been given a vital payout from the National Churches Trust.
The £15,000 National Churches Trust Cornerstone Grant will help fund the installation of a new toilet at St Paul’s church in Widnes and create a space that allows the church to serve its community.
Broadcaster and journalist Huw Edwards, Vice President of The National Churches Trust, said: “I’m delighted that St Paul’s church in Widnes is being helped with a £15,000 National Churches Trust Cornerstone Grant. The grant is an early Christmas present for the historic church and will facilitate the project and will help secure the future of this important local building.” ....
