The University of Arkansas System board of trustees voted unanimously Thursday to offer UA System President Donald Bobbitt a two-year contract extension, which would take effect when his current deal concludes at the end of this calendar year.
The UA System Board of Trustees will hold a special July 6 meeting to discuss whether or not to renew President Donald Bobbitt's contract, which will expire in December.

Sheffield Nelson's allegation that University of Arkansas System President Donald Bobbitt had misled the UA board of trustees regarding a planned affiliation with the University of Phoenix was "inaccurate and false," according to a resolution passed by the board on Monday.
Sheffield Nelson said he won't bring up the topic of whether to extend Donald Bobbitt's contract as president of the University of Arkansas System when its board of trustees meets virtually on Monday.
