TACK trying out pair of EV vehicles

Transit Authority of Central Kentucky recently touted the purchase of nine new electric vehicles as part of efforts to upgrade the agencyâs fleet.
Funding for the new EVs and other vehicle purchases has been made possible through a $2 million competitive grant awarded TACK last year by the Federal Transit Administration.
Purchased locally from Herb Jones Chevrolet, the electric Chevy Bolts bring TACKâs fleet to 90 vehicles, adding an all-electric component to the combination of large multi-passenger buses, passenger vans and minivans the operation uses to carry out its transportation service mission in Hardin and Meade counties.
TACK provides important non-emergency door-to-door medical transportation services for Medicaid recipients, handicapped and special needs clients, seniors and veterans. ....
