The annual Tri-State Pride weekend officially kicked off on Thursday night, and the whole weekend concludes with musical performances at the Memphis Music Room.

"I feel as a bi-sexual Black woman, it is hard to truly be yourself or you don’t know who to be yourself around," said Demeshia Shannon with Tri-State Black Pride.
