O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, how lovely are your granny squares
It’s a tradition in Newfoundland and Labrador, and this 12-foot tree in Trinity Bay North wears it proudly. Granny squares are crocheted squares and they come in all different colours and, in this case, from many different people. As CBC’s Troy Turner reports, the tree is a true community builder and is the centerpiece for the Holidays in the Harbour Festival this upcoming weekend.
