The city needs to have a community benefits charge bylaw in place under provincial changes to how funds are collected and used by the municipality. If the city doesn’t have a bylaw in time for fall 2022, it won’t be able to enjoy similar “density bonusing” under the outgoing system until it has a bylaw in place.
