Nurses from Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Baker City gathered beside Wednesday afternoon for a rally to oppose the closure of the hospital’s birth center on Aug. 27.
As part of a larger strategy to expand its footprint, Trinity Health of New England has added services in Cheshire and recently relaunched its facility as a center for primary care and specialty services.
The system’s former Cheshire Primary Care facility at 1154 Highland Ave. is now the Cheshire Access Center, featuring primary care, cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, gastroenterology and urology clinicians. The center also debuted a redesigned occupational health space and offers blood draw, laboratory, x-ray and radiology services.
