SPRINGFIELD, Ore.- A former member of the Springfield Board of Realtors resigned after she suggested a change in meeting venues because of controversy surrounding the group s current location, Along Came Trudy, a restaurant in Springfield.
Kaydee Hallert is a real estate broker based in Eugene. She told KEZI 9 News she was given an ultimatum. Either you resign, or we re going to vote you out, said Hallert.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. Vehicles filled the parking lot of Along Came Trudy on Friday night, a Springfield restaurant that advertised a free dinner and dancing event on the first night of Lane County s extreme risk COVID restrictions.
A flier for the event claimed the state s COVID policies were masterminded by unelected autocrats who sit on their regulatory thrones.

This isn t this first time they ve tested the mandates. Earlier this year, the owner Trudy Logan received over $9,000 in fines.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. Despite openly defying Gov. Kate Brown s COVID-19 orders, Along Came Trudy owner Trudy Logan has been nominated for Springfield Chamber of Commerce s business person of the year award.
Other restaurant owners in Springfield reacted to this nomination. It s quite frustrating to be honest. When we first got the orders from the governor, none of us wanted to shut down. But it was something that we felt we should do for the safety of the public, Ciao Pizza owner David Lucht said. It feels like the Chamber of Commerce is telling us to open up and defy orders at this point.
