A Cornish branch of the Royal British Legion has paid tribute to HRH Prince Philip. Timed to coincide with the national minute's silence to mark the passing of Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Truro branch of the RBL organised a short but poignant tribute at the Truro war memorial on Saturday April 17. The ceremony was held at the Truro war memorial on Saturday April 17. Branch Chairman, Ralph Knight, spoke words of salutation for the years of duty to the country that epitomised the Prince's life. He also made reference to the service that the Duke gave during his time in the Royal Navy and to the many servicemen who gave their lives in WWII, a conflict in which Prince Philip saw active service.
