Oconee County recorded its third death attributed to COVID-19 in two days with the release on Tuesday of the Department of Public Health Daily Status Report.
The county also recorded 57 new cases of the disease, a new record.
The Oconee County death was the sole death listed in the the Daily Status Report for the 10-county Northeast Health District on Tuesday, and the seven-day rolling average of added deaths in that Report held steady at 2.0.

The Oconee County death was of a 74-year-old male without a chronic condition. The deaths listed on Monday were of a 51-year-old male without a chronic condition and of an 89-year-old male, also without a chronic condition. ....
