After running for 96 years, Kennywood's Turtle – the world's last tumble bug ride – is to close for a preservation project.
There are only a few days left to ride The Turtle at Kennywood this season. Park officials said that after 96 years in operation, the ride’s center foundation needs to be replaced. The Turtle’s last day of the season will be Sunday. “It’s time,” said Gary Miller, the project manager.
Several rides similar to those found at Whalom Park, which operated in Lunenburg for over 100 years, will be set up at Doyle Field in July
