KNBN NewsCenter1 December 14, 2020 RAPID CITY, S.D. Two West River residents have been sentenced to federal prison time for methamphetamine-related charges. Daniel Gray Eagle, age 39, was sentenced on December 14 to 188 months for Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine and two counts Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute. The conspiracy charge stated that Gray Eagle knowingly and intentionally conspired with others to distribute, and possess with intent to distribute, more than 500 grams of methamphetamine in South Dakota. Gray Eagle routinely traveled to Rapid City to acquire large amounts of methamphetamine, which he distributed in Eagle Butte. His first possession count came after a high-speed chance on the Cheyenne River Sioux Indian Reservation in January 2018, and the second from a foot pursuit in March of the same year. ....
