The National Pork Board is encouraging more states to enroll in the 'US SHIP' program in case disaster were to strike a U.S. herd. The group says it's a program that would step in and help with biosecurity, traceability, and surveillance. So far, 31 states are enrolled.
Speakers and delegates representing 31 states discussed traceability, surveillance, feed biosafety, site biosecurity and live-haul sanitation.
