THE life and achievements of a Chester unsung hero have now been recognised at Chester Railway Station. A new interpretation panel celebrating the life and work of Thomas Brassey, who died 150 years ago on December 8, 1870, was unveiled by the Thomas Brassey Society outside the station. The new interpretation panel was funded by the Thomas Brassey Society with the aid of a donation from the Tyrer Charitable Trust.
