After helping to care for her grandfather who was diagnosed with cancer when she was a teenager, people began to encourage Jennifer Jones to become a nurse. Now, years later, she is caring for her community as a family nurse practitioner at Scheurer Primary Care in Bad Axe.
“I started watching the nurses who cared for my grandfather, and I was hooked,” Jones said. “I enjoy caring for people, making them feel better, teaching them about their illness and how to take care of themselves.”
