Georgia to face Cincinnati in Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Dec 20, 2020 The Georgia Bulldogs will face the Cincinnati Bearcats in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, it was officially announced on Sunday. The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl will be played on Friday, January 1, 2021, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga. ATHENS Georgia is headed to the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. The Bulldogs were selected by the College Football Playoff committee to play American Athletic Conference champion Cincinnati. The game is part of the New Year s 6 games and will be played on New Year s Day. Kickoff for the game between the ninth-ranked Bulldogs (7-2) and the eighth-ranked Bearcats (9-0) is scheduled for 12 noon ET and be televised on ESPN. This will be the third all-time meeting between the programs. No replacement game for UGAâs regular season finale By Cal Callaway The university announced Wednesday that it will not play a replacement for Vanderbilt on Saturday. The Southeastern Conference canceled the Vanderbilt game in Athens on Monday due to Vanderbilt’s football squad size and position availability falling below roster minimum requirements under the league’s COVID-19 protocols. The league office declared the Vanderbilt at Georgia game a no-contest.
