As political battles over higher education intensify in Florida, some faculty have found new university homes in North Carolina. But the grass isn’t always greener.
The move comes three weeks after Kevin Guskiewicz confirmed he was “weighing” an offer from Michigan State.
Both universities have seen their fair share of controversies over the past several years.
The chair of the faculty at UNC sent a letter to the chancellor last week expressing support for him as he weighs a decision to potentially leave the university.
“She is the right leader at the right time for this exceptional institution,” UNC System President Peter Hans said.
