A former Louth building firm boss has been charged with stealing around £30,000 from the junior football team where he was treasurer for 11 years.
Ian Martin Warsap, 63, from Louth, is charged with committing fraud by abuse of his position as treasurer of the Louth Old Boys Football Club between January 1 2006 and July 1 2017.
He is accused of dishonestly making cheques out to himself and cashing them in his personal bank account and it is understood the amount involved is in the region of £30,000.
