Prosecutor Urges Cleveland Police To Get New Agency On Aliza Sherman Murder

Prosecutors and family members are pushing Cleveland police to request the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation to take the lead on the
Aliza Sherman murder case.
The 53-year-old nurse from Beachwood was stabbed 11 times in broad daylight downtown,
NBC News reported on the anniversary of her death this year. She was a mother of four, heading to a meeting with her divorce attorney.
Sherman was days away from trial, according to the Justice for Aliza Sherman Facebook page. The attacker didn’t steal any possessions from her, including her purse or keys.
Cleveland police, the lead agency, has to ask the BCI to intervene. “We fully support BCI taking over as the lead investigative agency and urge Cleveland Police to make that request,” Cuyahoga County Prosecutor ....

FAIRFIELD, Ohio (FOX19) - Twenty-seven years after Christina Carnes was murdered in her own vehicle, the case remains cold, but Christina’s relatives are hopeful that even decades later, the person who pulled the trigger could serve time for the crime.
Christina, 18, was murdered in January 1994, on what was supposed to be a fun night out with friends.
According to Fairfield Police, Christina and her boyfriend did briefly meet a group of buddies at a Fairfield pool hall, but police believe only minutes after the two of them got there, they left to pick someone else up. ....

In a WPBF 25 News exclusive investigation, detectives on the Treasure Coast are hoping that a questionable police report could generate new leads in a missing person case that has sat cold for 36 years. Decades have gone by since Gregg Haskall, 19, disappeared, and the original case is shrouded in mystery.“It seems like he just disappeared out of thin air,” said Detective Joseph Calderone, with the Stuart Police Department. HENRICO, Va. (WWBT) - The family of a Rockingham County man is searching for answers after their loved one was murdered at a Henrico County motel 14 years ago.
On April 4, 2007, police were called around 12:37 a.m. to the former Legacy Inn along Airport Square Lane, near Williamsburg Road, for the report of a person shot in the chest. That man was identified as 54-year-old Gary Post, Sr. who later died at the hospital from his injuries. ....
