Frameline, which produces the LGBTQ film festival in San Francisco, has announced that after an extensive search, it has hired a queer Black woman as its director of programming. Allegra Madsen joins the nonprofit organization following success at San Francisco's Bayview Opera House, a news release stated. Known initially as “The Berlin Patient,” he dedicated his life to supporting HIV cure research after being cured of HIV following two stem cell transplants, which were done to treat acute myeloid leukemia.
