Residents are being warned of possible flooding after recent downpours.

A 36-hour rain warning has been issued across Sussex and the south of England.  The coast was hit by 20mph winds and heavy rain last night with gusts of up to 47mph expected this evening. Parts of Mote Park flooded as The River Len burst its banks after weather alert  |  Updated: 18:02, 07 January 2021 Those looking for a socially distanced walk around the lake at Mote Park may have to find an alternative route as footpaths remain flooded. The lake in Maidstone, which is part of the River Len, burst its banks submerging low lying areas of the park down the steps by the café and The Watersport Centre.
