The first of 2 roundabouts being built at U.S. 41 and Wellen Park Boulevard. Sidewalks and landscaping are included as part of this project. U.S. 41 is now down to one lane in both directions in the area during this project. Officials say construction will mainly take place Mon-Fri. -7am-5pm
There was a crash involving a motorcycle and pickup truck on Thursday morning (12/29) on US 41 in Cape Coral, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The project was approved in April 2020 to do two things: alleviate traffic problems to this gateway to Lido Key, and address drainage issues during the rainy season since it floods easily.
