Soccer club organizes drive for food bank
City SC, a soccer club with 3,900 competitive players throughout Carlsbad, recently organized a club-wide food drive before Thanksgiving to benefit the San Diego Food Bank. In just two days, the nonprofit club was able to collect just over 1,000 pounds of nonperishable food items for donation. The food drive was organized by the club’s Girls Academy Advisory Panel, which has community outreach as one of its goals.
