AGOP: The Ricky Bobby Offense By IMissFatRex on Mar 13, 2021, 11:29pm EST + AGOP: The Ricky Bobby Offense "I wanna go fast" – Fictional Racecar Driver Ricky Bobby from the film Talladega Nights (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qJGsSuFRIg) Over the past decade or so, our offense can be described as many things. One example of such a description is "bad," while another is "slow." Like Ricky Bobby, I want (this offense) to go fast. The AGOP that follows reflects that want along with a focus on creating an offense that is conducive to developing a young QB In order to keep myself h...

AGOP: Quirky and Original Middle school. A time that can be hard for many of us socially. There are a few cool kids, but for the most part everyone is just trying to fit in and survive the years. Many different "experts" have tried to find ways around this socially awkward time, and one sticks out to me in particular. The theory is based around the idea that middle schoolers should find a way to be quirky and original. The hope is that their peers will find their quirks endearing and become their friend. That is the goal of this AGOP. It won't be the trendy or conventional plan, but I ...

AGOP: Modern Offense 2021 Cap Space: 72,886,749 Re-Signings: Marcus Maye - 3 years $37.5M, 25 GTD (2021 cap hit: 12.5) Maye is a strong player in this league but he’s not an all-star. Not signing players like him will leave the Jets devoid of talent but locking into too many players like him will limit the Jets ability to sign/extend top players in the future. So I prioritize paying a bit more for a short term deal. Brian Poole, CB - 2 years 12M, 6.5 M GTD (2021 cap hit: 6) Poole has been the only consistent corner the Jets have had in the slot. Retaining him as long as the price is reaso...

AGOP: The Rainbow Unicorn What’s up Gang Green Gangster? If you’re like me, you’re starting to like the GGN mock offseason more than anything the real Jets offer. If it’s one thing I’ve come to realIze, if the Jets listened to our advice over the past decade, we may have a few more playoff wins under our belts. However, this is where things get interesting. We have what appears to be a good General Manager in Joe Douglas and an excellent head coaching prospect in Robert Saleh. It seems it’ll take one heck of a mock offseason to beat what we might witness this offseason. So without...

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Joe Douglas guarded the New York Jets' checkbook last season a lot better than his rebuilt offensive line protected the quarterback. The general manager finished his first full year on the job with nearly $27 million in unused salary-cap dollars, the second-highest total in the NFL -- money rolled into the 2021 cap. That was part of the plan. Instead of spending lavishly on a mediocre free-agent class, Douglas decided to save for a rainy day. Well, the green and white umbrellas are out. Actually, they have been out for several months. Coming off one of the worst seasons ...
