Missing: Beyond the Vanishing Triangle uncovers new details about the American woman’s disappearance, in 1993, but also does her a disservice
A new documentary about Annie McCarrick, the Irish American woman who went missing in Dublin in 1993, asks fresh questions about the unsolved disappearance. McCarrick is the focus of the first part of RTE's new two-part documentary "Missing: Beyond the Vanishing Triangle."
Missing: Beyond the Vanishing Triangle(RTÉ 1) told a terrible story — indeed three terrible stories. American Annie McCarrick has now been presumed dead for longer than she was alive, poor girl. But her story was terrible not just for that reason. The frantic family, claims of unexplained omissions of the gardaí, missing faxes and the consequent breakdown of the relationship between the McCarricks and the gardaí — it was frustrating for even a stranger to hear.
Thirty years after American Annie McCarrick disappeared in Ireland, new questions have been raised about her disappearance.
Missing: Beyond The Vanishing Triangle begins tonight (Monday May 8) on RTÉ1
