A 39-year-old Pike County man is currently incarcerated in the Fayette County Jail, charged with felonious assault on a law enforcement officer and aggravated robbery, stemming from an alleged incident that reportedly occurred on U.S. 35 West in Wayne Township during the early morning hours of Jan. 16.  

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday the arrest of Earl Wesley Nixon II, 57, of Washington Court House, on charges of kidnapping, strangulation and aggravated assault.
