The "renaissance" in bilingual education would include expansion of K-12 dual-language opportunities and initiatives to better support all students whose first language is not English.
For the last year, members of the Santa Fe Public Schools community have been taking a hard look at public education, a process called Reimagining.
The district has struggled to retain students as they head toward middle school.
Since process began, enrollment numbers have declined districtwide by nearly 11%.
