Unison Inverclyde demand £500 pandemic bonus for public sector staff
A CAMPAIGN to recognise unsung heroes of the pandemic has been launched by the Unison Inverclyde Branch. Branch secretary Robin Taggart is calling on the Scottish Government's £500 bonus payment to NHS and social care staff to be extended to everyone in the public sector who directly responded to the Covid-19 crisis. Mr Taggart says that although the cash boost to NHS is very well deserved, other workers should also be recognised for the role they have played and the union has launched a petition to gain support.
