STEPS down to a popular beach have been cordoned off after a sea wall collapsed during recent storms leaving exposed metal rods sticking out. Beach goers are being advised to take care accessing the eastern end of Castle Beach, Falmouth following a partial collapse of a section of the sea wall, next to the slipway and steps leaving metal rods sticking out. The wall, which supports the promenade, suffered structural damage in recent storms, causing loss of pieces of the granite facing and it is now in need of significant repairs. A funeral hearse came to a dead stop this week after it was clamped in a clampdown by the DVLA on the Tregoniggie Industrial Estate in Falmouth.
